Lacey Laces. Yaayy!

I went to the sewing stuff place, a small kiosk, in the market downtown, and got the lace! Yayyy!! Can't wait to cut and sew!

Hand Knitting

I went to Indonesia Knitting Exhibition held on Museum Bank Mandiri located in Kawasan Kota Tua (or Jakarta old city sites) last week. There were discussion, workshop, and exhibition. A lot of knitting and craft stores open a booth. You can find any knitting needles, yarn, scarf, dress, any kind of knit stuffs.. :D

The most attractive booth is Tobucil. Tobucil (Toko Buku Kecil or Small Book Store), is literally is a small book store in Bandung. Not only books, but it mark themselves as a local community support. They got their clubs for knitting, reading, writing, and others.. It's a really cool place. It also one booth that sent their male knitters to the exhibition. Yes dear, not only granma, or a girl who knits, male knits also. ;)

They also show a trick to do hand knitting. How you can tangle the yarn in your hand and make a great scarf out of it. To make a scarf, it's better to use a big size yarn. I tried it using the yarn I just bought. My yarn is a small one, so it doesn't make a scarf, so I just use it as a bandana. :)

Hair Pin

So after a day without able to decide the best cut for the dress, my hands got very itchy and decided to make another little crap carfts.

Inspired by a Chinese Fashion Show I watched on Fashion TV last night, my head full of ideas of making this simple hair piece. All I need basically just a bobby pin or any hair pin. So I bought a bobby pin later that day, and start to cut the checkerboard fabric. A lil sew here and there, and to the pin, and it's done. A some-kinda-flower pin. ;D

My next target is my high-school graduation medalion souvenir. I need the ribbon. So I just cut the ribbon, fix what left of the medalion -- eventho my high school years were not that lovely, I'd still appreciate it --, and sew a little here and there, and voila! My second hair pin. :D

It's not really good for daily use, but I did meant it to be a bit dramatic. I'm a big fan of lace, but got no lace at the moment, and will definitely hunt some lacey fabrics. It will be great to use lace.
Well, so far my little sister love the checkerboard flower pin, she even wore it when we went on grocery shopping. Love it!

Definitely gonna have some more to come.

Checkerboard Fabrics

I got this cool fabrics from my mom. Emm actually I asked for it. hahaha because it's really nice! and my mom said, 'okay, just take it' =). Yayyy!!

Now, I got the picture of the dress in my head but not so sure about the detail. I want it to be a simple semi-formal dress with a touch of edgy style in it. I'm not sure wether to make the skirt something like a balloon skirt--which not really a balloon skirt, i don't really into balloon skirt, or just simply make it simple and then I can accesorize it however I want it.

Hmmmm better start browsing on goggle and my fashion magazines..

Little Red Pidget Scarf

This is my other pidget scarf project. This one is using smaller yarn and 3mm knitting needle.
Mono-red solid color..

This is a clearer view. So I put two buttons there.

I'm not sure when I could use a pidget scarf while I'm here living in this tropical place in a warm-hot city. But maybe I could use it when I went to the movie. Just to keep my humble neck from the aircon breeze. hoho

So my previous not-done-yet pidget scarf project is going to be something like this. Just wait n see. I can't wait to finished it! I like the brownish color...

My Pigdet Widget

I was going to make a pidget scarf, but I started ran out of yarn. It's almost done. I think I'm going to need a little more from a yarn. Mmmm perhaps it'll take another 1/4 yarn to finish it. Just having the right length, make the button holes, and put the buttons on it and it will be nice. =)

If it's done, it would look like this...

Err doesnt look any different with any other scarf? hahaha Well, it's not done yet. I need to add the buttons and then I will update it when it finish. =D Wait up!!
